Thoughts.
In The Hunger Games movie, Peeta tells Katniss he watched her go home every day when he realized he loved her. People compare this to Edward from Twilight, saying it’s a lot creepier than what Edward did.
Take a step back and reconsider that.
Peeta never manipulated, intimidated, threatened or truly stalked Katniss. Think of the time period they are in. Think of the conditions of District 12 and the things Katniss has had to go through. Of course Peeta wants to be sure she gets home safely. It’s the only way he knows how to keep the girl he loves safe. He never stalked her or watched her sleep without her knowing.
I stand by the girls that say they want a Peeta in their lives. Sure its all pretty lame to compare your future spouse to a character, but I can see it being somewhat reasonable if you want certain qualities that certain characters have. Peeta was an honest, all around wonderful guy. He had his flaws, as do we all, but he truly fit the bill of a really good guy for Katniss.
Edward on the other hand, NO.
And let’s not even talk about how much Katniss and Bella are different. Let’s just not go there.
